If your business is moving up from a desktop environment to its first server, you'll find everything you need in the TS140 - an affordable, durable server with impeccable productivity and manageability features.

The TS140 makes clever use of Intel AMT 9.0 to provide out-of-band, cost-effective, remote management of end-user environments - regardless of the managed server's status. Intuitive and secure, the web console works directly out of the box to give point-and-click management tools perfect for branch offices or remote deployments with limited IT resources.

At 26 dB, the acoustics of the TS140 are impressively quiet for any server - that's less noise than you'll find in a typical library. Plus, it's ENERGY STAR-certified, so it's easy on the environment and easy on your power bills.

Product Reviews
Lenovo ThinkServer TS140 70A4 - Xeon E3-1225V3 3.2 GHz - 4 GB - 0 GB 4.9 5 11 11
Great server for almost all purpose I have focused on server product for several month. This product could be a good SOHO server or even workstation for everyday use. It doesn't have SMT(Hyperthreading), but it is enough to see powerful quad-core Xeon processor's horse power. FYI, my old SSD( KINGSTON SNV425S2128GB) has a intermittent recognition problem. Sometimes it was recognized and sometimes not. I wasn't sure it is a problem of Lenovo or KINGSTON, but after changing it to TOSHIBA ssd, all problems gone!Final setup:I added 16GB non-ecc memory and 512GB TOSHIBA ssd and 2 * 1TB harddisk from my previous desktop.Followings are my usage- Windows 2012 server- always running VM(s)- Linux virtual machine for NAS purpose- Linux virtual machine for research project- Windows 7 virtual machine for using FPGA synthesize toolsBasically, it runs smoothly and really fast even these are running simultaneously. One important thing is that it is so quiet, so it is hard to recognize it is turned on or not in my lab. It has no problem at all about reliability since I got it and turned on.I strongly recommend TS-140 server(XEON based) for whom wants a great server OR a personal workstation for quite cheap price. Excellent case & design. Great air flow. Simple to work on. FAST!. Minus one star for no 32 bit drivers. Pre Installation disk does not support WHS 2011. With 4 drives, Kill-O-Watt reports about 42 watts usage. That Calculates to about $30 yearly operating costs.-Nice.Great documentation for Hardware. July 17, 2014
Great budget server I have Xeon version of this server and it has been running great so far. I installed ESXi as host and installed Windows 2012 R2 and CentOS as guest machines. With 16GB memory upgrade, it's running cool and quiet for last few weeks. So overall, I am happy with the purchase. Also, the shipping was fast. However, if you are plan to your new/existing expansion cards (Raid or Network card), you will need to double check if it's compatible with the server. Lenovo's BIOS has whitelist which device can be installed or not. So if you have Intel NIC that is not on the list, the system will just freeze at boot time. I had Intel dual port server NIC and the server wouldn't take it because the card was not on their list. So I had to customize ESXi image with right NIC driver to install successfully. So, except limited hardware compatibility, it's great budget server. July 16, 2014
Tremendous Value Although the product came with 4GB memory I upgraded it with 32GB and added a 256 GB SSD drive. I installed Ubuntu Server and it recognized every bit of hardware on the machine including a wireless keyboard and mouse. The onboard video card works perfectly fine at 1920 x 1080 with my HP 27" monitor. For a little less than $800 all in w/o monitor I can't beat it .Highly recommended. July 16, 2014
Nice little server I have this up and running with freenas as a fileserver for my home. It has a total of 5 sata ports (1 taken by the DVD drive) and that are 5 3.5 inch drive bays. Two of the bays are easy to access, and three are a bit more challenging, but it comes with very nice instructions. July 9, 2014
Great little white box for my home lab Bought ti for $280 and great price for home lab.ESXI 5.5U1 won't work straight out of the box because of the on board NIC so you would need to add a compatible NIC or to modify the ESXI iso with a supported driver. July 9, 2014
Solid home lab server Heavy metal box with enough power to host an ESXi home server. The onboard NIC card is not compatible to native ESXi but making a custom image is easy using the most up-to-date driver (search google if you want to do this). The hard drive rack is a little bit unorganized but there are 5 sata slots. Good enough for me. July 9, 2014
Lenovo ThinkServer TS140s - Xeon & i3 A pair of Crucial CT102472BA160B 8GB ECC UDIMM installed in this Xeon server & 1 piece of Kingston KVR16LE11L/4 4GB ECC UDIMM installed with a pair of the original Hynix 4GB in the i3 server make up a total of 16GB & 12GB RAM in my Xeon & i3 TS140s. Both boxes have 2-port NIC card Syba Dual LAN Ports (SD-PEX24033) installed, running Win 2012 & 2012 R2 servers with Hyper-V hosting a few win2012 / 2008 servers & Win8.1pro. Both are configured with Raid 10 and 4 Hdds installed in each server using the existing hardware with add-on screws. (Initially I tried out with Raid5 configuration but the Raid driver performance was disappointing with constant high access rate on the hdds.) The Xeon server is used on production as a domain controller setup with DNS & WSUS roles as well as a DVR recording video streams from 10 IP cameras 24X7 over the home office LAN. Remote login is installed so it allows me to see the real time surveillance monitor display when I am away from home. The i3 server is used for training & development to upgrade my skills in servers and networking. The Xeon is a 4-core with a better GPU so it handles video/graphic better than the i3 and noticeably overall performance increase of at least 15% than the i3 & maybe higher in other categories. These are very good servers due to their low cost, durability, easy expandability and good functionality including low power consumption and whisper quietness. January 31, 2014
