I am in love with this laptop. I have owned it for about 4 days now and wouldn't change anything. Before you buy it you need to know you are sacrificing some size for performance. I went with the i7/8gb/SSD version and it screams. It has also made me love windows 8! April 23, 2013
Great but one major feature missing Got this machine to test out to see if we want to switch to these as the standard issue machine for my org. The machine is great, it's fast, even the hybrid hard drive with ssd cache is fast. Touch screen works great, the screen is small but not too small. Weight is not too bad, battery life is pretty terrible for a lightweight thou.All in all for the cheap price, this machine would be great for a standard issue, every day joe smoe laptop at the org except for one problem. NO DOCKING PORT! Forced to use USB docking stations, so I decided to buy one of the better reviewed ones. Plugged it in, setup software, noticed the mouse lag that people talk about, already unhappy. Upgraded drivers and firmware and now the lag isn't as noticable. When you drag your mouse fast around the screen 25% CPU is used. 2-5% without dock. That's pretty bad that 1/4 your cpu is wasted when docked. Netflix app doesn't work with Windows 8. Pixelates the logo at start and now even without the dock some win 8 apps don't even load any longer. I stopped right there and boxed everything up.Until they put or release a similar model with a docking station so you don't have to deal with all these drivers and updates they won't be good enough to deploy to the masses. Maybe if your a single user it probably would work just fine, but the fact it eats up 25% cpu on top of the app problems it caused out of the gate for me I'll pass. So Laptop is great if thats all your gonna use it for, but if you want to dock it to a desk, forget it. April 2, 2013
