Lantronix MPS print servers allow multiple users to share printers anywhere on an Ethernet network using a wide range of network protocols. Networking is an ideal way to leverage your printer investment: instead of one printer for each user, a single printer or several printers can be shared by many users, even if they run different operating systems. Lantronix print servers support TCP/IP, IPX, AppleTalk/EtherTalk, NetBIOS/NetBEUI and LAT protocols, allowing users to share printers even in mixed Windows NT, UNIX, Novell, LAN Manager or Macintosh environments.
Lantronix print servers allow printers to be placed where they are needed most -- near users. In addition, print servers offload print processing from the host or file server, providing great improvements in host performance as well as faster network printing. All Lantronix print servers can print from any host running any of the supported protocols and multiport print servers can print on all ports simultaneously.
