Optimize networking performance with the Juniper Networks 8-port small form-factor pluggable (SFP) Gigabit-Backplane Physical Interface Module (XPIM). The ports can be used for connecting to Ethernet WAN service as well as for local server connectivity at Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) speeds. The XPIM enables Layer 2 line-rate Gigabit switching and system-processor dependent Layer 3 service with connection of up to eight SFP GbE ports. This XPIM can be used in copper and optical environments to provide maximum flexibility when upgrading from an existing infrastructure to Metro Ethernet. It provides high-density Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for the Juniper Networks SRX550 and SRX650 Services Gateway products, increasing flexibility and operational ease. Compatible with the Juniper Networks SRX500, SRX5000, and SRX600 Services Gateways. The Juniper Networks SRX Series Services Gateways for the branch combine next-generation firewall and unified threat management (UTM) services with routing and switching in a single, high-performance, cost-effective network device.
