Product Reviews
Iomega StorCenter px4-300r Network Storage Array - NAS server - 8 TB 2.6 5 7 7
Terrible Product - Worst Support This NAS did not make it a year before it failed. To address customer NON-support... Lenovo, by far, has the worst customer service I have ever received. Their lack of un-professionalism is unequaled. There will never be another piece of Lenovo equipment purchased by our company. They will not even check the status of an RMA until after three weeks from the time it was submitted. Stay clear of this product and all Lenovo products in general! I've had good luck with Iomega products before Lenovo was involved. Sadly, this is no longer true. February 1, 2013
Very slow web manager and not very friendly. Good pack of features. Needs disk rebuilds to ofen. For the price its almost ok. September 14, 2012
Have had ours since August 2011 and have had a fair amount of problems with the device. We have it in place for our backup storage. About every 3 to 4 months we get an e-mail stating there are some possible problems with the device. We check into it and it has lost one of the disks. Every time this happens it wipes all data, rebuilds the drives, and then you are all set to go like nothing ever happened. Only problem is all your data is gone.Iomega's support is pretty good, I have not had a problem with them. They always say the solution to this problem is to disable services that you aren't using like media sharing. Even with these services disabled the drive still has this happen about every 3 to 4 months. We have also turned off RAID and the same thing still happens. Support doesn't have a solution to this problem in my opinion. I believe it is a problem in the software that runs on the device. Updating Firmware has not helped so far either. It is currently up to date.It works fine and is a great device when it is working, you just can't trust it whatsoever which makes us regret our purchasing it in the first place. If we had to do it over we would buy something different. If they could get this problem fixed, it would be a 5 star product. We are very happy with it, it just crashes every 3 to 4 months.I should also mention that the original Storcenter we had was experiencing these problems, Iomega replaced it with a refurbished device. We experience the exact same problem with the replacement unit. August 13, 2012
We bought ours June 2011, it has performed well as a file server and now it is being used as part of our backup solution. Have not had any problems. June 11, 2012
We purchased the ix4-200d NAS for a backup solution and have had nothing but problems with them. Hardware failures, lots of firmware updates and fixes, drive failures, all kinds of problems. Support from Iomega was terrible. May 21, 2012
Setup is a bit of a Pain because of the slow web interface, but when you done it's working fine. Behaves inconspicuously in our branch office. August 25, 2011
Good device but the web interface sure is VERY VERY slow February 14, 2009
