The Black Box T1 Fiber Mux gives you an inexpensive way to combine four T1 channels for extension over a campus or enterprise network as far as 47 kilometers (29.2 mi.) over single-mode cable.
Use the mux to transparently extend Ethernet, voice, data, and video services over an interference-free, highly secure fiber optic link. Because the mux transfers each T1 signal independently, you can set each channel to a different clock source.
The mux also offers comprehensive test and diagnostic features, including local and remote loopbacks on the uplink interface as well as each T1 tributary link. You also get AIS alarm generation and recognition, and dry contact relays for major and minor alarms.
