excellent product This is an excellent WAP for mid size offices. It is very easy to configure. The 'Mesh' feature that allows up to 16 devices to be controlled from a single interface is a real time saver. The multi SSID feature works great.We have deployed these units at several of our client locations and have not had any issues with them. June 13, 2013
Performs like a champ We have about a dozen deployed and think they are rock solid for a controller-less solution. Aruba regularly updates the code; adding more features. There are still a few features we miss from a controller based deployment, specifically guest account expiration and global upgrades, but we always have the option of using the controller too if needed. Excellent performance, multi-featured, on the bleeding edge of the wireless spec.I felt compelled to review this after someone here reviewed as if it was a consumer device, calling it hard to deploy. Easy to configure and very reliable We have many of these access points in 3 different buildings. They work great together and have excellent rage and great security. I highly recommend this product! October 19, 2012
Far too complicated for what it's supposed to do. When working on setting up a pair of Aruba AP-105's with the Aruba AirWave software, you'll find you need a separate DHCP Server, a separate VLAN, you'll have to go into the AP-105's Web Config and set them up in there - BEFORE you can even begin to even think about using the AirWave management software.These appear to be way more complex to set up than is necessary. Once the first one is setup (which, in itself, is a very easy process), programming quickly is sent to any new ones that are connected. Web interface is a snap. Security settings are well-handled. Dual radios -- 2.4 and 5.0. Range is good, and ARM handles the shifting of channels quickly and appropriately.Also sold under the Dell brand. November 18, 2011
