Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium - license 4.7 5 23 23
Implemented this at a magazine company and every one of the users loved it, they used it on a daily basis. It uses a lot of resources but if that's all your doing then that's fine. November 6, 2012
Still using this package from 4 years ago. Amazing stuff can be done with the Photoshop Extended version. A full time job learning all that can be done with this suite. Integrated full Acrobat version. Like the Adobe Bridge for browsing and categorizing thousands of pics. October 16, 2012
Everything creative! How one can wish they had this power when they were younger and had so much more free time. Bringing 64-bit programs into the mix (notably for Photoshop) is very welcome, while 32bit versions are retained for legacy needs. September 17, 2012
CS3 was a huge update worth the upgrade. Mac OS versions finally became native and stable, making it a must-have on that platform. Macromedia programs were finally rolled into CS with the Adobe branding -- Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Flash. Adobe Bridge and Adobe Version Cue made an entrance, though remain not fully realized by more (non-professional) users. September 17, 2012
Ho-hum upgrade from CS3. On the Mac side adds some Intel native compatibility. Tweaked 64bit and multicore performance on Windows, alas such was not added for the Mac OS X iterations. September 17, 2012
Actually, the program is a "quad-fecta": Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Very good combination for print media specialists who don't need web/online options (Flash & Dreamweaver). September 17, 2012
Always been a solid design suite for the graphically inclined. As with the MS Office suite, these programs are designed to work together, and much effort should be put into understanding the roll Bridge plays. September 17, 2012
The only reason it got 5 stars from me is that they didn't have 6.The industry standard for professional level designers, having the Design Trifecta of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop bundled together in this suite saves a great deal of money instead of purchasing them separately. New features include more robust integration of all three programs for quicker, more seamless design and change work, from GUI, toolsets, palette designs, commands and shortcuts, and menus. I know there are less expensive hack design and photo editing programs out there, but this is the real deal. Totally worth the investment. If you've never used any of the programs before, it will be overwhelming. But once you learn, creativity is limitless. There are countless tutorials out there on both Adobe's website as well as YouTube that can take you step by step. This software is also taught at any Design school worth its salt, so chances are even a junior designer at your company can help you. I've been a professional user for 15 years (QuarkXpress before InDesign!) and now just have to learn the enhancements with each new upgrade. From someone who learned layout and desktop publishing the mechanical way back in the late 80's, this suite is a must-have for your Marketing Department and anyone in IT that works with web for graphics. If you go one step forward and get the Design Premium, you also get Dreamweaver for html editing and creation and various other web-based content tools. July 19, 2012
