A Great Unit for Smaller Offices or Smaller IDFs
A solid performer in terms of performance vs cost. Great for tight places that do not have actual racks installed but still need power protection to ensure uptime. 8 Standard outlets should provide plenty of room. The LCD screen in the front provides great info on what's going on and changing the battery is simple.

Such a Great PRICE You'll Think It's a MISPRINT!
If you don’t require a rack mounted UPS, this UPS is one heck of a great deal. Plenty of capacity for most home and desktop applications at a price you won’t believe. Pure sine wave output and AVR are great performance highlights, but the value of the new “SmartConnect” feature is even better. Plus, APC allows “1 Additional Year of Battery Warranty for FREE when you connect and register your Smart-UPS with SmartConnect”. Don’t pass up this incredible value!

Just wait until the warranty expires!
Most of the management features go away after the warranty expires.
APC's website is so bad you can't find an extended warranty for the unit.

A Great Product That Works
I was waiting to write a review until I had a chance to see the Smart UPS in action. That happened the other night when winds were blowing in excess of 50 miles per hour. There were numerous power glitches and the Smart UPS worked so great I was real happy. No more computer or modem going down. I'm telling everyone this product WORKS. Go buy one now to avoid equipment power down headaches. A VERY GOOD PRODUCT.

Easiest UPS choice for everyone
Out of the box, this one was very easy to set up. Even with a computer, monitor, dual-drive NAS, and a network switch, this particular unit seems to handle so much with ease. The screen itself doesn't stay lit all of the time so it won't burn out, but it does stay on long enough to see the info when needed. Hooking it up to the Internet was also pretty easy with a very simple startup guide to walk you through the very simple process. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is running a small system as a server in their small office to even someone who is running a machine to run CAD- and CAD-like software.
