With 8 outlets and 1 switched outlet group, this server and network UPS provides uninterrupted battery power to connected electronics. With sine wave output when on battery, this rackmount UPS offers the highest degree of compatibility with PFC servers and sensitive electronics.
Monitoring Flexibility; EcoStruxure™ Ready
Monitor your Smart-UPS from anywhere at any time via two options; cloud-based secure web portal with automated, customizable alerts regarding the health of your UPS or EcoStruxure IT software and services for larger scale or highly distributed IT infrastructures. Connect to either monitoring software using the Port on the back of the device.
Alternate Monitoring and Management Options
Use the intuitive LCD interface and PowerChute software to configure settings and monitor usage. A SmartSlot in the back of the UPS offers the option to add a Network Management Card (NMC) to remotely manage the UPS over the network (NMC sold separately). Audible alarms also provide notification of changing utility power and UPS conditions.

Reliable
We use these to keep stacked switches with a dozen aps and a dozen phones running. Our power has regular brownouts and these UPSes keep everything running smoothly.

Cannot Easily Download Firmware Updates
Bought this back in Dec. 2018. Ordered a network card 2 for in house management.
The Firmware Upgrade manager says I have a FW Upgrade available but when I browse for it, none of the .enc files show up until you enable all files. Then none show they are for an SMT3000. Lastly reading all the txt files they indicate some should be compatible, but the wizard says they are not. So then I go to APC to see if I can download an .ENC (firmware file and for my model they steer towards an .MIB file which the Upgrade wizard rejects. It used to be this process took minutes to achieve on APC support, but now it takes hours and tomorrow I will call for technical support. For my own references, I have been using APC UPS' for 20+ years. After this debacle it may be time to rethink this strategy.

A Lot of Muscle in a Very Small Space!
This is an amazing 2U UPS! 2880VA in this small of a package is an amazing achievement. But note that runtime is only 2.8 minutes if supporting a full load. SmartConnect is built-in, which means most users won’t need to purchase a NMC for monitoring. A lot of muscle in a very small space!

Large capacity 3000VA Rackmount that only takes up 2U of space! Includes the remote management SmartConnect software which works great. This thing looks great and gives tons of run time for just 2U! Highly recommended!

Excellent UPS
I've had this installed in my server room for 5 months now and it has saved our network from quite a few brownouts and a brief outage. In addition to that, the Cloud service account has active monitoring and email notifications to let you know whenever your network is experiencing issues. I also purchased the NIC for this to allow SSH configuration and access. Great UPS. I'll be sure to update this review if anything changes.

Does exactly what I need it to do
I'm using this for a rack in a small data center with only a couple servers, a small SAN, and networking gear. Has worked flawlessly. Would recommend.
