Blasted Spiceworks lost my last, longer review. So this one won't be as good. Anyway, it's a good UPS. It's a toss-up whether the LCD actually adds any value, but it certainly doesn't detract from the system. Makes it a bit easier to understand exactly what is being used / what is left on the unit. Great runtime during outages. Batteries seem to need replacement after ~18 months. They are very quiet, too - a big plus in smaller offices. March 12, 2013

Very good device and have not had any problems with it. This device stays the course during power fluctuations. Battery replacement is not and issue. November 10, 2012
They are solid performers while the battery lasts. Most software will talk to them through the host computer too.Biggest complaint is price. Getting better performance and capacity with TrippLite lately. If the battery's lifespan was longer and/or at least warned farther in advance, I'd give 4 stars. October 15, 2012
Great little Unit. We have several of these keeping our server room up and running, and a couple scattered elsewhere about the company. Battery eventually died on one, but we replaced it and there hasn't been a problem with it since September 17, 2012

We have a pair protecting our servers and network gear, each with AP9617 network management cards (added post-purchase). They’re solid units, and pushing 5-years old have never given us any trouble. The battery pack is easy to replace without taking the unit offline. Documentation for the AP9617 management card is minimal at best, but it’s been discontinued so maybe APC has done a better job with the replacement card. I’d purchase/recommend purchasing again.
