Scans are too bright and there's no fix.The software interface is old-fashioned, unser-unfriendly and counter-intuitive. This is just a printer, with a very substandard scanning feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 bymaverick2002 from Solid replacement for our Xerox 3210My wife and I decided to upgrade from our aging Xerox 3210 (which still works without ever needing service despite the decent volume we run through it) for something that was of comparable size, speed, and that featured WiFi with Apple AirPrint. This fit the bill nicely, and with the discounts we paid less than we did originally for our 3210. The only feature I was surprised to see deleted was the Scan-to-USB function. But frankly, I am a network administrator, and we use network scanning even at home like we do at work; as such, it's not an issue for us. So far I'm really impressed with this printer. It's fast printing, and VERY fast thinking. Boots up in under 10 seconds. Also, though it means supplies will technically (in the long run) be just a little more expensive, I like having the drum and toner separate, less waste, and costs are little easier to swallow up front because you take smaller bites so-to-speak.

We definitely have had issues connecting our Mac computers to the printer via wi-fi. I consider myself a savvy tech guy and even with the wi-fi wizard, I could not connect to the printer. Eventually, I plugged the printer into my router and just used our ethernet connection. Works great now. Scanning seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes it works great. Other times, it doesn't work at all. I would need more time with the printer to recommend it to others but it's sufficient for our application.
