The answer to our prayers
I purchased the wireless headset because of all the "nonsense" recorded messages I receive at my business. Saves us many many sets.

Looks very nice but.......
It looks very nice but is not as user friendly as the obsoleted model that I had previously. It lacks the comfort of the older model also. It works good but when wearing something 8 hours a day I would prefer comfort over style.

Not a problem so far...
i've been beta testing it to make sure it is compatible with our NEC dterm series i phones at work and its lived up to my expectations. it beeps to alert me of incoming calls when away from the desk, lets me know if anyone if playing with my phone when im in the file room,

LOVE IT!
I've had this for about a week now and am very happy with it. My last one wouldn't keep a charge for more than 20 minutes, so after 6 years, it was time for an upgrade. It fits nicely on my ear, I can hear the other person cleary and I like the sleek design.

I love your product.
This is the second headset I have purchased from Plantronics, the first one lasted 9 years. As an Information Technology Executive Recruiter, I live on the phone, so clarity, battery charge, and mobility are very important for me and the CS500 has been great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Company provided product. Seems to have died after only 8 months. Flashing green light on headset - info is not on main startup sheet. NO Online manuals for CS500 Wasted 1 hour trying to find info. Followed what little online doc - no success.

Bad batteries
We purchased 2 of these (cs500xd) to try on our phone system. We're a small outfit with just 4 office staff and we dispatch maintenance requests to over 1,000 doors (entities, properties, etc). We've purchased a few replacement batteries for both of the cs500xd units and oddly they keep going bad after about 1 and a half to 2 months of use (8.5 hrs a day 5 days a week). The headsets are kept charged, etc. I would recommend NOT using this product due to this.

Very user friendly, works great

I had a much earlier model of a Plantonics wireless headset which worked great, but I just plain wore it out. The CS500 was super simple to set up and it works great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Headset as good as or better than DECT
I am the telecom Analyst for a large health care company with large call centers. I have been waiting for Plantronics to come back out with a new 900MHZ headset and this is it. I now have a mix of CS540's and CS540XD's in my call center and everything is working without interfearence. Contrary to popular belief you can have too many Dect Headsets in one area but now with the 900MHZ option eveybody can have a wireless headset. The CS540XD in my opinion outperforms the Dect version of this headset because 900MHZ has better wall and obstruction signal penetration than does a Dect Headset.The 540XD also has wideband audio which makes it a perfect fit for our Managers and Directors who demnad the best possible audio for those daily conference calls.

CS500XD - Awesome
I used the CS50 for years and with discontinuation of that model went stayed with Plantronics and the CS500XD. I don't mind spending hard-earned $$ on comfort and efficiency, this new model has both...awesome fit, use, range and overall value.

The sound is clear
My CS50, (over the head one ear) I wore it five days a week for 10 hours a day... after years of service the battery would not hold a charge for very long. The new CS500XD is heavier and bulkier. The pressure from the padded ear piece is very tight...if you wear glasses, the pressure is distributed to the nose piece.Taking the glasses on and off while wearing the headset is almost impossible. I just wear reading and computer glasses. My job is up and down, all over the office, interacting with people. Ear padding limits your hearing for interaction. The CS50 sat away, never really touching the ear and I could hear perfectly. I wish I could send it back but after reviewing the product line, I could not see anything else that I would like.
