I had to go purchase a DisplayPort to HDMI cord which cost a substantial percentage of the monitor. Only one RGB cord is included in the box and most likely everybody already has many of them lying around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright and sharp The Monitor is 1920x1080 as a default, but the monitor being 24," the text is large enough and the icons are sharp and clear. Other resolutions are fuzzier than the default, which is to be expected. The colors are vibrant, and match the colors on my HP laptop - which surprised me. It has inputs for HDMI, VGA, and DVI. I'm using the HDMI. Switching between my laptop resolution and this external monitor is automatic and instant. The price couldn't be beat.

I got 1 is defect "I think" after it on for awhile. I see a little red dot in the middle of the screen. I am very busy and it only about $100. so I didn't bother.. so buy as your own risk. you might red 1 with the red dot..LOL

The price seemed just a tad bit high considering there's nothing special about it other than it displays a nice picture, but I needed it for my new PC and I'm happy with the purchase.

They are lightweight and the screen is clear. I am very happy with my purchase and can now work from home much more efficiently. Note, you will most likely need an adaptor or docking station to use both monitors with a laptop.

This was the first Monitor I bought to have my first ever Dual Monitor setup to be used with my HP AIO 23" Pavilion and I Love it! I don't know how or why I have been using PC's for so long without adding a extra Monitor, As its almost like having two PC's now as so many things I can do now easier that I couldn't do before with just one Monitor! I arranged it in a stacked position over my main PC's display for certain reasons and wall mounted it using the VESA 100mm x 100mm bolt pattern already on the back of the Monitor! The monitor was Plug-N-Play and I didn't even have to use the software that came with it as Windows 10 recognized it automatically and all I had to do was fine tune the display's configurations to suit my needs which was easy to so! The monitor seems very quality built and has a beautiful picture and came with everything it mentions in the box!, The only thing I had to do was to buy a HDMI cable to connect it to my PC as my PC only had a HDMI port and the Monitor comes with a VGA cable which my PC don't have a VGA port, I could have bought a VGA to HDMI adapter, but since the Monitor has several input ports I just went with HDMI cable from Monitor to the HDMI port on my PC so I didn't have to use a adapter! But anyway if anyone is looking for a great Monitor either being a only one or extra at a great price I highly recommend this Monitor! Thanx HP for great quality products at great prices and also being backed up by HP's great customer support when you need them!

Have played some games and watched some movies and everything came through just fine. I do have 1 warning: be sure to order an appropriate cable to connect it to your computer. It came with VGA connectors on both ends of the cable and my computer does NOT have a VGA port. I quickly got an HDMI to HDMI cable

Will try to get it fixed through warranty. Should not fail this early. My other HP 27" monitors have been running for 2+ years. Would not recommend this uit.

Was disappointed in button switches vs touch, but they work too. Was for my boy who has a MS pro, terribly small screen, uses it as a 2nd monitor but primary screen since it is so much bigger. He is very happy with it.

I could barely tighten the hand screws due to limit space between the connector the side where it was located. 2. There are no speakers. This wasn't evident when I ordered the product. 3, The VGA cable was not with the PC I ordered with the display. I had to get a HDMI cable.

Looking at a screen, you need a border - the black plastic frames what is on the monitor. Also, the new Elite monitor was weirdly bright. Different technology & more expensive, but really not fun to stare at. The monitor was blinding. This has much softer back-light. I use for spreadsheets & research/reading. No graphics or gaming. For my purposes, it's perfect.

It actually took my eyes a couple of days to adjust to the clarity. All I did was plug it in and turn it on. Worked like a charm.

Either HP should include the cable or information advising that it is necessary as well as what adapters might be needed. With the standard VGA cable, the aspect is skewed.

The monitor started to occasionally blink randomly. I thought it might be my docking station and swapped the hdmi cable with a vga cable. Ended up the hdmi cable was bad. Bought another hdmi cable and has been great since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good budget monitor the monitor has a good picture and a matte finish. this gives a sharp image of whatever you're looking at and the finish will reduce the glare from things behind you. I can recommend this as an entry level gaming monitor although the refresh rate is only 60fps. this will be passable for an immersive game however may make for a bit of a disadvantage in first person shooters and games where quick reaction time is paramount. should you decide to upgrade however it would be fantastic as a second monitor for looking up information or passing time in games such as Elite Dangerous where you can allow yourself to be distracted for some time as long as nothing happens. this monitor will be more than sufficient for any home or office use barring showing movies to more than one person. long story short, this monitor is a pretty good investment unless you're looking for a high refresh rate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dual monitor option I bought one during spring and decided later on to buy another one so I can have it set on a dual stand. It hooks up easily to the stand. As far as the image, it's clear. No complaints so far. It has actual buttons to change settings if that's what you are into. A standby mode. Pretty much what you would expect from a monitor to do except this one is a good size and a cheaper option. I'm happy with my purchases.

For my purposes, they're very suitable - since they're mountable, have all 3 ports (VGA, DVI, HDMI) and they are sharp enough for the work I do. This is a size upgrade (22" to 24"), so I would have liked the next higher resolution from 1920x1080 to be available but I think I need to pay more than this price to get that. I'm not even sure my video cards would support it. At this price ($129) and with free shipping, this was a very good deal. Finally, the on-screen, built-in menu has settings which I don't understand and I cannot find what they mean - "Miscellaneous" / "DDC/CI" / "ACR", for example. And there seems to be NO HP documentation that gives out the information. (How do I get that, HP?)

Like there is no volume button on the monitor anywhere so I'm confused on what they're supposed to do then. Other than that, it works great. Super crisp color and runs smoothly when playing games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too High Tech I just purchased this monitor after my outdated HP vs17e monitor was giving me problems coming on. I always use HP products so I assumed this monitor would interface with my HP Desktop Tower 251-a120; well not quite. This monitor supports HDMI which I like but my desktop tower does not so I connected the monitor to the VGA port and it worked except I got no sound. The speaker ICON had an X; I went into my control panel and found no speaker assigned. I found I had to purchase a VGA converter to HDMI; I did that and after connecting it a speaker was identified, but still no sound. I'll have to contact customer support for assistance. I really like the monitor, very stylish; however, I do need sound. Unless you have a computer/laptop/tv that doesn't support HDMI you'll have problems with the connection.

In mid-March I began teaching my courses remotely from home secondary to COVID-19, and I was experiencing headaches and eye strain after teaching for hours on my 15” laptop. When it became apparent that I would have to teach my heavy Summer semester course load from home, I decided to purchase this 24” monitor and a desktop. This economical monitor has a large bright display that suits my needs perfectly. I no longer experience any headaches or eye strain since I started teaching my courses on this monitor. It does not come with a webcam, microphone or speaker, which was fine since I already had all those things.

My nine year old HP p7-1010z has been a wonder computer. Just a little slow with all the new Video Chat. Needed to upgrade for Teleworking. Been making due with the old system. All I know is HP is having problems getting components for the new one. Have not heard anything from the company about the status.

This was the first Monitor I bought to have my first ever Dual Monitor setup to be used with my HP AIO 23" Pavilion and I Love it! I don't know how or why I have been using PC's for so long without adding a extra Monitor, As its almost like having two PC's now as so many things I can do now easier that I couldn't do before with just one Monitor! I arranged it in a stacked position over my main PC's display for certain reasons and wall mounted it using the VESA 100mm x 100mm bolt pattern already on the back of the Monitor! The monitor was Plug-N-Play and I didn't even have to use the software that came with it as Windows 10 recognized it automatically and all I had to do was fine tune the display's configurations to suit my needs which was easy to so! The monitor seems very quality built and has a beautiful picture and came with everything it mentions in the box!, The only thing I had to do was to buy a HDMI cable to connect it to my PC as my PC only had a HDMI port and the Monitor comes with a VGA cable which my PC don't have a VGA port, I could have bought a VGA to HDMI adapter, but since the Monitor has several input ports I just went with HDMI cable from Monitor to the HDMI port on my PC so I didn't have to use a adapter! But anyway if anyone is looking for a great Monitor either being a only one or extra at a great price I highly recommend this Monitor! Thanx HP for great quality products at great prices and also being backed up by HP's great customer support when you need them!

The HP was a bit dimmer and not as sharp I checked the setting to my surprise they were up almost all the way it was giving all it had i guess? Doese work well.

I had to press for auto adjust on my monitors due to some flickering I noted on the very top edge of the monitors when I had them connected to my docking station. Once I did that, everything else was fine. I’m happy with my purchase.

I own microsoft office 2016 and planned on putting it on my new computer. Office 365 has the wrong email address for me in a message to give permission to except emails. We were on the phone with tech support for an hour and a half. even she doesnt know for sure how to correct it. other than that the machine runs great

I didn't need anything fancy, and this monitor seemed like a great deal, so I purchased it. It was delivered on time, and when I unboxed it, it was much bigger than I expected. In fact, I contemplated returning it because it is so big, but I figured I needed to adjust to it (my previous monitor was a 20xi - much smaller). Now I love this thing! I can fit a lot on one screen, and it helps not having to look from side to side when comparing spreadsheets, everything is right there and easy to read. I have noticed less neck and eye strain even though I am on the computer much longer than before. This was a great addition to my home office!

I connected to to our HP Computer as a second monitor where our old smaller monitor had been working nicely for 4 years, and it simply won't start up.. The green light goes on, goes immediately to standby (yellow light) and there's no picture. I went to HP Support and got nowhere. There seems to be no one I can reach either by chat or phone to ask about this problem.

Setup was plug and play. Looks very clear and completely fulfills my expectations. In my case I wanted to connect via HDMI rather than the standard video cable supplied. Rated 5 out of 5 by from They just don't understand I received my HP monitor on a Friday, it was giving me problems immediately, I called 2 days later to try and explain what was going wrong, I talked to numerous "associates" and they came up with they will send a package for me to send the monitor back, I said I need the monitor, even the way it was working, because I need my computers, I have 2 computers hooked to it, they said it is all they could do. I said I have bought thousands of dollars on HP equipment and why do they not trust me to send a new unit and I will send the "old" one back. I have had a HP account for years. They still said they couldn't do anything for me, I said forget it. I'll by another brand. They said they will have someone call me, haven't heard anything. Today I received a box to ship the unit back, getting frustrated with HP.

Everyone seems to be really liking the monitor so far. One item of note - when we first plugged it in, Windows 10 thought that we also wanted to use it as our audio as well so we had to go into the settings area to disable the monitor as an option. Just an FYI if you run into the issue.

If u bump the cord the screen goes out and you have to wiggle the cord to find the right position for it to come back on. YES I did verify that the cord is plugged in all the way. So I just have to hope and pray that when I try to position the monitor again that the screen will stay on. Let's just say it doesn't. I very unhappy with the monitor

Of the multiple HP computers I've bought, not 1 is equipped with the D-Sub receptacle. I had to buy the appropriate HDMI cable and wait 5 more days to receive. The option of which cable the monitor will be used with should have been an option during check-out.

I already had a HDMI, so it wasn't an issue, but it's something to keep in mind if your laptop doesn't have a VGA port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I expected outdated, not absurd. I bought this a week ago as an additional monitor for multitasking. Got what I thought was a good deal on it at $100, and set it up. The on screen menu is something out of the late 90’s, the fully plastic everything looks and feels cheaper than it was, and the display was incredibly lacking. So I bought a different HP monitor, the 27f which brand new right now is about $40 more than I got the 24uh for. Second hand, $80. Infinitely better. 1080 looks like 1080, the feel is more premium, the panel is nicer, the colors are more vivid, and everything about it screams good value. Please don’t get the 24uh unless there isn’t another dime you can spare.

I purchased what I thought was an upgrade and it has caused me nothing but misery from day one! Aside from the excessive cost, lack of speakers and cheap keyboard. The first problem was everything was slow because apparently I need to let updates download from he cloud for several days???? You can't do that BEFORE you send that to the customer? Then when I called for help I was told, and I quote "you're computer doesn't exist in our system and we are really busy, please call back in two days." Are you kidding me???? Only because I refuse to accept such a ridiculously insulting answer and I am persistent and creative as to where to find help did I even get a modicum of assistance. I was put in touch with Smart friend who was much better but that one phone call cannot address the MANY problems that pop up day after day!! The latest is you DELETED the spell check from word? WHY WHY WHY would you do that? And of course there is no clear answer on your endless WORTHLESS "help" labyrinth. Only outside message board of other frustrated customers offer any answers. STOP "fixing" things that are NOT BROKEN!!

We needed something for Distance Learning when our laptop abruptly died and the monitor we prefer was -unsurprisingly during back to school season during Covid- out of stock. Audio issue notwithstanding, for the price point, I think it is an acceptable monitor for this purpose. We plug earbuds into the audio jack on our tower when we need to watch videos for school.

Side by side next to a similarly priced HP monitor, the color difference is very noticeable, blacks look gray and all colors are similarly washed out. I installed the drivers (which are several years old) and it did nothing. Monitor stand tilts, but there is no height adjustment.

Cost, brand, quality, and size were the main driving factors why we selected this monitor as we work in cad and digital programs constantly. My only complaint on the design would be that the height is not adjustable. That is slightly offset by the fact that we do like how far back on the base the vertical monitor is...it is farther back than most of our other monitors which saves desk space perception.

I spent a lot of time trying to get the right cord. Once HP sales realized that the right cable had not been included, the were willing to sell me the right cable--I though this should have been included in original sale price. Otherwise the monitor is just fine, now that I have received (after a week of delay) the right cable connector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Monitor! This monitor is the perfect size for a medium size desk. The picture is clear. It shows vivid pictures from my phone. It was easy to setup. I would recommend this monitor to anyone that need a really good monitor for a smaller desk space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor I purchased the monitor but then had a hard time getting it hooked up to my laptop as a 3rd mointor. I was transferred around a few times and was unable to get an answer. I eventually figured out I needed an adapter - but I really performed self-service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent monitor I received the monitors rapidly from my online HP purchase. They were well packaged and easy to set up. I like the fact that there is not an external power supply. Just plug the AC power cord in directly to the monitor.

Also purchased an ENVY computer from HP. I have enjoyed a HP printer for the past 11 years. If you are in the market for a new computer, buy HP.

After a week of trouble shooting I sent the DOA computer back. HP was nice enough to refund my money for the computer that never worked. I still have the monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So, it has gaming component with No Video Memory A complete waste of money, there has to be a layout implemented for those that arent tech savvy, like how requirements for game coming witht he description on the back of the game or under requirements when buying a game online, there should be a description, simple description, of the specs, so alright, I look up all the games that I'd like to play most run with some crazy processing requirements, alright look at the specific computer that you need, ba baam this is the one, not going on reviews, there should just be a layout of the computer specs for those that arent tech savvy, that's all I'm saying because I spent 2600 dollars for a convertible 15c hp laptop that can fold into a tablet, but I upgraded it, and I looked at everything, copy paste to google and even then it was still a little to confusing, and that's where people will say learn computers, it should be just as easy as operating an xbox and playing a game, not oh will this be functional on my computer? Alright enough said, I know nothing is going.to.be done about it, just thought I'd waste more time.
